About the Job
Overview
The English Teaching and Library Coordinator is responsible for training and supervising the English teaching and library volunteers, observing lessons, providing feedback and motivating the team. They will be developing and revising the curriculum and liaising with the local public schools in El Porvenir. They will also support the Primary Education Programme by being responsible for the Library Programme. We are also looking for someone who can bring creative new ideas to both of these programs and get the children excited about reading and learning English!
Volunteer Profile
Required:
EFL/ESL teacher with 2 year minimum experience
Minimum 1 year commitment
Intermediate Spanish
Experience teaching and managing large groups of children
Passion for working with children
Able to collaborate with others and work in a team
Ability to work with limited resources
Desired:
Fluent Spanish
Degree in ESL/EFL or Teaching
Experience writing and developing curriculum
2 year commitment
Supervisory Experience
Experience working in a developing country/Latin America
