About the Job
Overview
Pepper International is a company specialized in translation, interpreting, foreign languages training, and international cultural exchanges. Currently, we are looking for 2 ESL teachers to work for us at our new Monterey English training center in Changsha, China.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
A native speaker from the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa is preferred
A bachelor's diploma with a minimum 2 years post diploma teaching experience is required
If you do not have related teaching experience, then a teaching certification (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA) or a bachelor’s degree in English/Education is required
Understanding and interest in Chinese culture
Passionate about teaching and dedicated to student outcomes
An energetic and enthusiastic disposition
English language fluency; proper grammar, sentence structure, word tense, subject-verb agreement, proper use of adjectives and adverbs, neutral accent, clear pronunciation, good intonation and English language rhythm.
Class & Curriculum:
Instructing spoken English courses to students of different ages, mainly from 3-15, organize English corners, salons, relevant English cultural activities, participate in the school's marketing activities
Working hours: 40 hours a week, including office hours and teaching hours, 2 days off per week. When working overtime, salary will be raised accordingly.
Textbooks provided
Teacher is responsible for developing lesson plans and adapting to students' English abilities
Remuneration Package:
1. Salary: 12,000-15,0000 RMB (gross) per month;
(Note: Changsha is a second-tier city in China, the average salary of teachers in the city is about 3,000 RMB, therefore, it is quite easy for you to save money every month and live a decent life here. The money you saved could be spent on traveling around China when you are on holiday.)
