Applications are invited for the position of ESL Curriculum Developer – Singapore. Reporting to the Regional Curriculum Manager, the successful applicant will join the Singapore Academic Team and be based in the I Can Read Company Head Office in Singapore.

Reporting to: Regional Curriculum Manager
Requirements of the ESL Curriculum Developer’s Role:
• Five years’ experience in the education industry, preferably 2-3 years in a curriculum development role
• Tertiary qualifications to at least Bachelor’s level, e.g. Education or Curriculum
• Demonstrable prior ESL curriculum development experience
• Excellent command of the English language
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical with good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, to think critically and strategically
• Shows leadership and a deep sense of responsibility
• Proactive and takes initiative to resolve issues and/or highlight challenges
• Able to operate with a high level of integrity and professionalism
• Able and willing to travel internationally
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and plan curriculum, lesson plans and age-appropriate teaching materials for the ESL classes offered by I Can Read
• Review, update and make relevant recommendations and revisions of the curriculum
• Monitor, track and evaluate the implementation of the curriculum
• Support teaching staff in the implementation of the curriculum
Secondary Responsibilities
• Update current curriculum if/when errors are highlighted
• Liaise with I Can Read teachers and centre staff to obtain feedback
• Plan and deliver training sessions pertaining to newly-developed curriculum
• Obtain information/feedback regarding curriculum development and improvement
• Conduct research on current trends in curriculum development
