Details
Shanghai BSK Academy needs qualified teachers to teach English in public Schools in Shanghai, China. Fulltime ESL teacher teaches 26-35 periods of classes every week in select public schools in Shanghai (35 minutes per period in primary schools and 45 minutes in secondary schools). The students are between 7 and 15 years of age. Dress code for the teacher is business casual. The teacher is only required to be at school for scheduled classes. BSK provides textbooks, flashcards and other teaching materials to facilitate teaching at schools. Teaching may be scheduled on Saturdays. Every teacher is guaranteed to have two days off every calendar week if teaching a standard class load.

Benefits
Monthly salary of RMB 11,000 (before tax) for a weekly teaching load of 26 periods of classes (minimum teaching load), RMB 12,692 (before tax) for 30 periods of classes per week, and RMB 14,385 (before tax) for 34 periods of classes per week
* Reimbursement of two-way economy-class airfare between the teacher's home country and Shanghai if the contract is of half a year long (one semester)
* Reimbursement of the teacher's visa (one-entry), work permit in China, and one medical examination in Shanghai
* Foreign Expert Certificate which authorizes the teacher to be a qualified teacher in China
* Comprehensive Accident Insurance for the teacher under the age of 60 for the entire contract period, which covers major expenses for hospitalization
* Monthly commute allowance of RMB 150
* Paid sick leave and paid statutory holidays in China
* Performance-based bonus at the end of every semester
* Completion bonus at the end of the contract
* Free Mandarin classes every week
* Free airport pickup
* Free temporary residence (up to one week) when the teacher arrives in Shanghai for the first time
* Parties, get-togethers and tourist trips in and outside of Shanghai
Note: BSK does not provide accomodation. A furnished one-bedroom apartment (including refrigerator, air-conditioner, washing machine, stove, table, chairs, bed, and bathroom) costs RMB 1,000-2,000 as a monthly rent on average Tax- a teacher with a monthly gross income of RMB 11,000 will pay RMB 865 as tax, an income of RMB 14, 385 will incur RMB 1,534 as tax.
Qualifications
Native English-speaker being American, Australian, Canadian, European, Kiwi or South African without a strong regional accent
- Bachelor's Degree or better
- No criminal record
- In good health
- Outgoing and passionate for helping young students to learn
- Capable of quickly adapting to different cultural and social environments
