About Alfie’s Academy:

Alfie’s Academy is a fast-growing private English language school, founded in Panjin, China in 2012. 
With five centers in three cities, Alfie’s has become a premier provider of English education for young learners (aged 3 to 12 years old) in Liaoning Province. 
We focus on supplemental and after-school English enrichment programs aimed at improving students’ English conversational skills and exposure to western culture. In particular, the school caters to parents who plan to send their children to study abroad in the US, Canada or other English-speaking countries in the future.

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for friendly and enthusiastic English language teachers who have a genuine desire to teach young learners. 
You will be welcomed into a close-knit and supportive team who work together to provide an effective and vibrant learning environment for young learners. 
We encourage individuality and creativity in the way lessons are delivered. You will be supported in this role by a local teaching assistant who will 
aid you in and outside the classroom, assisting you with administrative and practical aspects of this position.

Compensation Package (Up to 25,000 RMB per month):

-Salary: 17,000-22,000 RMB monthly, based on experience and qualifications 
-Salary Advance: 6,000 RMB (available) 
-Performance Bonus: Up to 3,000 RMB per month after 6 months 
-Flight Allowance: Up to 6,000 RMB annual flight allowance on contract completion 
-Visa: Sponsored legal Z work visa, Foreign Expert Certificate and residence permit 
-Health Insurance: Provided - choose from three packages 
-Vacation: 14 days of paid school holidays plus 11 national holidays 
-Other perks: 
· Free non-shared accommodation close to work, nice furnished, internet and utilities included 
· Contract completion bonus 6,000 RMB 
· Contract renewal bonus 6,000 RMB

Main Responsibilities:

-Maximum of 40 working hours per week (20~25 teaching hours) 
· Teaching English to students between the ages of 3 and 12 years old. Each class will have a maximum of 12 students. 
· Lesson planning/ modification 
· Student evaluations 
· Assist in placement testing and interviewing of new students 
· Cooperate with other teachers in planning and organizing extra-curricular activities and school promotional events

Requirements:

-Native English speakers (from the UK, Canada, the USA) 
-Minimum two year teaching and lesson planning experience, preferably with young learners. 
-Bachelor's degree or extensive teaching experience 
-CELTA or TEFL/TESOL certificate 
-Ability to commit to a 12-month contract 
-Must be energetic and fun and love children, we play a lot and you must be willing to be silly and play with the kids 
-Extremely friendly, patient and punctual personality 
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
-Should be able to provide a clear background check

About the City Panjin:

Panjin is a modern and fast-developing city situated on the northern coast of Liaodong Bay of the Bohai Gulf. The locals take pride in their hospitality, and love to welcome foreigners to their city and their culture. 
Panjin is famous for its parks & nature attractions, inexpensive and convenient public transportation. It is easy to find some Western fast food and dine-in restaurants, bars in the city. Usually grocery stores, coffee shops and movie theaters are all within walking distance in your neighborhood. 
The cost-of-living in Panjin is very low compared to larger cities in China. You can live a high-quality life on 2,000-3,000 RMB a month and save a lot of money for travel and shopping. 
If you have a real passion for traveling, Panjin is only a short journey away from all other cities in Northern and Central China. By taking high-speed train, Panjin is one hour away from Shenyang (the capital of Liaoning province), two hours away from the beautiful port city Dalian and four hours away from Beijing.
