English Teachers Required For Language School In Alcañiz, Aragón

Overview

The English House is looking to employ 2 qualified teachers for the coming 2022-23 academic year.

We are a small, friendly academy based in Alcañiz, Aragón which teaches highly communicative English to children and adults as well as being an official Cambridge preparation centre. The academy is also a registered member of FECEI (Federation of English Language Teaching Centres in Spain).
Student ages start at 5 years old and continue through all primary and secondary levels. We also run conversation groups for adults which typically range from B1 to C1 levels. The contract is for a maximum of 22 teaching hours a week. Group sizes are a maximum of 8 for young learners and 10 for exam preparation classes. There are no early morning or weekend classes and all lessons take place at the academy minimising teacher travel time.

To this end, in addition to providing advice on teaching materials and activity ideas we will also help you to find the best accommodation, open a bank account and register with a local doctor.

Alcañiz is a small provincial capital of some 17000 inhabitants. It is situated about an hour and a half from the Mediterranean coast and an hour inland is the major city of Zaragoza. The town itself is typically Spanish with very little English spoken. The surrounding area boasts beautiful and diverse countryside and plenty of unspoilt villages to visit.

Salary

1400-1500 euros gross per month (dependent on experience)

Qualifications

Skills Required:

Must be native level speaker (C2 level minimum)
Eligible to work in Spain (EU passport and/or Spanish residency)
Possess a CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, PGCE (or equivalent)
Minimum of 1 year classroom teaching experience
