About the Job

Overview

Smile English School offers educational classes for children aged 1-12 years and for teenagers up to 18 years old. Teachers work in Moscow and St. Petersburg conducting offline and online classes. We are seeking qualified and highly motivated native English Teachers to begin September/October 2022 as well as for the next academic year in 2023. Teachers should be enthusiastic, creative and really love to teach children!

Requirements:

At least 1 year experience in teaching English to young learners is preferred.
Experience using a variety of materials and teaching methods (such as games, singing songs, reading books with enthusiasm and excitement, playing games, outdoor activities and lots of narration) is necessary.
Ability to teach basic grammar structures, phonics, maths as well as aspects and skills involved of the English language to more advanced students (children aged 5+).
Successful candidates should hold a degree in teaching or childcare. Internationally recognised certificates are highly preferable.
Ability to work with adult students is also beneficial.

Job Description:

We conduct lessons with students both in our office and in the private residence of the student(s).
Working hours are 120 academic teaching hours per month - 30 academic hours a week.
All necessary materials for classes are provided.

We provide a contract, VISA support, help with accommodation, ticket & travel money reimbursement, academic support, medical insurance, a friendly working atmosphere and Russian language classes. We welcome English teachers with prominent professional credentials and relevant experience from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Successful candidates should hold a degree (preferably in teaching or childcare) or internationally recognised certificates. Candidates should have at least one year experience working with children.

If you are lacking in an area of the above requirements, you are still welcome to apply if you are willing to learn and to develop your skills in teaching English as a foreign language. We provide training for new teachers to familiarise them with our curriculum, show them the books and materials we regularly use and do trial classes guided by a headteacher.
