Change lives through teaching EFL!

At Idioma Internacional teach business professionals, technical high school students, and government-sponsored scholarship students. Help to develop students' English language skills and provide a gateway for job opportunities in the Costa Rican economy.

Who you'll teach: Adult students sponsored with government scholarships in Costa Rica, corporate professionals, and technical high school students. 

Where your classes will take place: All classes are held on our virtual platform, no travel required and teachers work remotely!

Your teaching day includes:

• Prepping for classes by reviewing and adapting our curriculum based on student needs (all lesson plans and materials provided at no cost to the trainer)

• Regularly keeping attendance and grades on the virtual education platform

Benefits:

•  A minimum six-month, professional services contract
• Schedules within the ranges of Monday to Saturday, from 7am-9:30pm
• Company email address and digital access to all educational materials
• Mentor Program for initial personalized professional development support at no cost to trainers
• Bimonthly Professional Development Workshops at no cost to trainers
• One-hour monthly meeting with supervisors for quality control and student follow up
• Tier Teaching system with Additional income opportunities available in our Curriculum Department or BELT Language Evaluation Department 

 (Preferred Qualifications)

• Teaching experience
• Master’s degree in ESL/EFL or Applied Linguistics
• Business experience
• Experience working and/or living abroad
• Proficient in Spanish or another foreign language

Requirements:

• Be a Native English-speaker
• TEFL/ ESL/ CELTA Certificate or Degree
• Committed to fulfilling a six-month contract
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in the field of Education (preferred)
• Technological competence
• Personal laptop with audio/ video, working headset, and microphone
• 30 MBS of Internet or higher
