We are looking for a qualified and experienced English teacher from a native English-speaking country who is comfortable teaching all levels and ages. Candidates must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and be capable of generating their lesson plans and materials independently.
Our school is a small, independently-owned establishment which is known for its fun and effective teaching practices. We have been in operation since 2005. Much of our business comes from word-of-mouth, and many of our students have been with us for several years; therefore, it is important for us to hire teachers who find it easy to create a strong rapport with the students.
The age range of our students is 3 years old to adult, but the majority of our students are teenagers. Most students are, with very few exceptions, polite and respectful. Most of them have a very heavy school schedule with lots of extra-curricular activities, so one of the challenges here is to keep some very tired students engaged.
Your spoken and written English must be of a very high standard and you should be enthusiastic about teaching both adults and young people. Your teaching style should be friendly and student-orientated and your lesson plans should be innovative and stimulating.
Ideally, you should have experience of teaching English at all levels, including TOEFL and IELTS preparation. Attitude, enthusiasm and a desire to challenge both yourself and your students are paramount for a CaSE teacher.
Most of our courses do not follow a set textbook, so it is important that you have some knowledge of assessing students needs and sourcing materials independently. This approach to teaching is challenging but, in our experience, very rewarding because of the opportunities it offers the teacher to express their creativity.
Our packages are very competitive and include a flight allowance and the choice of either housing allowance or teacher accommodation. It can be very cheap to live here, depending on your lifestyle, and so it is easily possible to save money. We also provide medical insurance and make all necessary working visa arrangements.
To apply, please send an email to iain@casemedan.com, along with your full CV, copies of your certificates (and passport for native-speaking applicants) and a cover letter.
