Our Story

Lavender Meadows is a Singapore-based education academy specializing in providing high quality education services for all children from a wide variety of ages. Our curriculum is based on the International Baccalaureate curriculum and our teaching methodology is based on Cambridge standards. Lavender Meadows is a Partner Operator of the Early Childhood Development Agency of Singapore.

As a Nursery Teacher with our first pre-school centre in Malaysia, you will be responsible for creating a secure environment for our children through enhancing trusting and respectful relationships with them. You willenrich our children’s learning through co-designing and implementing developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum, while effectively integrating innovative teaching and learning practices. You will be proactive and intentional in strengthening partnerships with families and the community, and co-design collaborative efforts with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve this goal. As an experienced early childhood educator, you will guide other teachers in enhancing their practice. You will also be expected to engage in continuous learning and reflective practice, as well as contribute to the centre’s culture of collaboration and collegiality.The centre will be located in central Kuala Lumpur.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order
  • Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students
  • Attend to children’s basic needs by providing food, dressing them, changing their diapers, and facilitate them in learning self-help skills
  • Teach children proper eating habits, personal hygiene, and social skills
  • Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play
  • Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips
  • Prepare lesson plan and material and submit them weekly
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, policies, and administrative regulations
  • Prepare reports / portfolios on students and activities as required by administration
  • Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development
  • Contribute to fostering a culture of collaboration

Qualification and Skills

 

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Fluent in English on a business level, additional languages will be an advantage
  • At least 1 year relevant working experience
  • Creative and inspiring with loving energy
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Knowledge in educational development
  • Friendly and Caring
  • IT savvy
