Overview

Teaching position is for an Elementary ESL teacher (Grades 1 - 4) within our Regular Elementary School Department.

This position is at our newly built campus located north of Beijing--about 1.5-2 hours by car. It’s approximate address is: (Huailai, Zhangjiakou, Hebei, China: 40°27’27.0”N 115°45’48.0”E). The new Jingbei campus is more than 700000 m2, and it has sufficient space for a capacity of 5000 students. This is a beautiful part of China that is near to Beijing, but with excellent opportunities for the health-conscious, outdoor enthusiast. Also, Jingbei campus is 500 meters above sea level (with a high level of forest coverage surrounding it), so the air quality is much better than inner-city Beijing. Finally, Jingbei campus is near where China will host its 2020 Winter Olympics!

Please Note: This is a great opportunity for a motivated, professional teacher to get in on the ground floor of a beautiful, new campus in an exciting area of China. This new campus is built, marketed, operated, and facilitated by an academic organization with over 20 years of success. In fact, this new campus will be this organizations fourth school campus within mainland China. Its other campuses are located in Beijing, Wuhan, and Hainan Island.

Pay and Benefits:

• 24,000cny/month (gross salary; 10 months a year);
• 10,000cny (gross salary) for two vacation months;
• A performance-based component to the pay system where you can earn a bonus as high as 4,500cny at the end of each term (possible 9,000cny total for two terms);
  200cny per month stipend for computer/instructional resources;
• Free meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) during working days;
• Reimbursement for flight costs (economy class, to and fro) from your home country once per year;
• School paid health insurance (Chinese domestic, in/out patient coverage);
  Paid sick days (5 per term);
• Furnished apartment monthly subsidy;
• 200cny per month stipend for computer or instructional resources;
• Reimbursement stipend for costs incurred during Chinese work visa application process;
• Free meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) on the school campus during any working day;
• The right person could have their contract renewed for subsequent years;

Required Qualifications:

• Native English speaker from native English speaking country;
• BA & 120 Hour TEFL (minimum credetionals);
• Due to work visa application reasons, age not higher than 60 at time of entry;
• Highly motivated, passionate, energetic, creative, humorous

Job Details:

• Students’ age 6—12 years old;
• You will have a Chinese English teacher in your class to help you while you teach;
• Full time job: Monday to Friday, 7:40 AM to 12 PM, 2 PM to 4:30 PM (On Friday afternoons you need to meet with the students’ parents, so you need to work to 5:40 PM); about 30 lessons every week; 40 minutes a lesson.
