City Introduction:

Beijing

Beijing is China’s capital, a direct-controlled municipality, and a national central city. As the seat of China’s central government, it is an economic, financial decision-making, and management center for the entire country. With over 3,000 years of history, including 860 years as China’s capital, the city possesses the world’s largest number of cultural heritage projects. It is also the first city to host both the summer olympics and the upcoming winter Olympics. In addition, Beijing is the center of national institutions of higher learning, housing several world-renowned universities.

Shanghai

Shanghai is known as “lonely for a millennium, bustling in a century”. One of the earliest trade ports in Chinese history, it was not until the 20th century that Shanghai rose to be one of the most developed cities in the country. As China’s economic center, Shanghai is a multifaceted city, from the original alleyways of the old city, to the Bund’s century-old European architecture, to the various skyscrapers of Lujiazui. Elsewhere, Chenghua temple preserves the memory of Chinese traditional gardens. With all of these diverse elements gathered in one place, Shanghai exhibits a unique and special charm.
