A kindergarten with locations in Hangzhou or Shanghai is looking for qualified and professional English homeroom teachers to start in August 2019. The class size is around 20 students per class. The school offers a starting salary of 13,000-20,000 RMB/month after-tax with a housing allowance of 6,500 RMB per month. The school also provides Chinese national holidays and 46 paid holiday days per year. In addition, free lunch, medical insurance and work permit sponsorship are provided. Bonuses for contract renewal and tuition discount for children of teachers who attend the kindergarten are provided. The work schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00am-4.30pm. The contract length is two years. The school provides a performance-based gratuity upon successful completion of the two-year contract. The school uses the IB curriculum. Requirements:

  • Bachelor¡¯s Degree
  • Native English Speaker
  • Two years teaching experience is required 
  • Kindergarten experience preferred
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, BA degree or above required 
  • State license/PGCE certification preferred, TEFL certification required 
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic and excited to play with and educate young children

2) How does your service work? Does it cost anything?

Our service is 100% free for teachers. Additionally, we will never ask you to sign a contract with us. After you submit your application and go through an initial screening interview, we put you directly in touch with the school which you will be interviewing with. You will be in direct contact with the school and sign a contract directly with them. All of our partner schools issue Z-visas (work permits), and offer industry-competitive salaries and benefits.

3) What is the process like once I sign a contract?

Once you sign a contract you will begin the Z-visa process in your home country. This process takes 4-6 weeks to complete. Prior to entry into China your school will help to arrange either temporary accommodation while you look for an apartment, or in the case of some schools, help you move into an apartment that is provided by the school. Your school will have a person who is there to help you with basic things such as setting up a bank account, getting a SIM card, etc. Facebook, Reddit and other social media sites offer great resources for connecting with other teachers living in your city.
