Overview

Job Title: Teacher of English as a Foreign Language, Shane School Shenyang

General Responsibilities: The teacher will undertake the following duties as assigned by their direct line manager: 

1. Preparing and teaching lessons to a high standard at the company’s schools.
2. Teaching at other locations such as schools, company offices, community halls, or private homes, as directed by the School Manager.
3. Attending meetings reviewing teaching performance and taking action upon issues.
4. Attending training sessions as advised by the Director of Studies.
5. Participating in annual events and promotional and marketing activities
6. Developing resources to support teaching
7. Sharing good practice with colleagues

Qualifications and Experience:

1. University Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
2. Minimum 24 years old
3. At least 1 year’s experience of teaching children English
4. Ability to get a clean criminal record check from home country
5. CELTA,TESOL or TEFL certification (120 hours, online is acceptable).
6. Applicants are expected to commit to a 1-year contract
7. 2 contactable references, at least one of whom has worked as the candidate’s teacher supervisor

Candidates do not have to be native-English speakers, but must be able to speak grammatically correct English with a neutral accent.

Compensation:

1. Guaranteed monthly salary of 16,000RMB+ depending on qualifications and experience
2. Overtime pay if teaching above 80 hours/ month
3. End of contract bonus: 4,000 RMB
4. Flight reimbursement: 4,000 RMB, paid in 6^th month and 12^th month of contract
5. Visa assistance
6. Assistance in finding accommodation and 7 days hotel provided upon arrival
7. 22 paid days leave per year including Chinese national holidays and Christmas Day
8. Medical insurance
