Overview

Working with Web is a great way to get a start in the ESL field in China. We invest in and implement new technology for the classroom. The curriculum and lessons are already planned, so the focus of class is on engaging students in activities. We deliver high-quality service by empowering students to achieve communicative excellence in English, helping them function effectively in a globalized world.
We are currently hiring in multiple cities across the Eastern Region of China. If you are interested in living in the comforts found in large cities or the adventure of lower-tier cities, Web has multiple locations for you to consider. Every Web school is located in a centralized, developed area with plenty of choices for convenient shopping, eating, and entertainment nearby.
Working conditions:
-Most classes follow a flipped classroom style, students prepare with computer-based learning before class. As a teacher, your main job is to guide them through activities that have students actively using the language of the lesson. For classes that don’t follow this style, a textbook is used to support the lesson.
-Small classrooms with 1 to 10 students of the same English level
-Larger English corner, usually twice a week and class size varies
-25 teaching hours plus 15 office hours per week, 2 days off
-Student age: adults (18-35 mostly) and young learners (10-17)
-Pre-made lesson plans, with accompanying activities, but the plans can be adjusted for teaching style
-Both Chinese and Foreign co-workers
Salary and benefits:
-Sponsor work permit and residence permit
-Monthly salary is typically between 14k to 18k RMB (including housing allowance) depending on the qualifications and experience of the instructor and the location of the school.
-Flight and work related travel reimbursement
-Pick up service at the airport
-Seven days of hotel accommodation upon arrival
-Assistance with housing search
-Paid holidays for national holidays plus 5 extra days of annual leave, 3 days paid sick leave, 1 day off around Christmas time
Qualifications:
-Have a passport from UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa. (Visa requirement)
-Bachelor degree or higher (Visa requirement)
-Two years of ESL teaching experience Or Teaching license in home country Or a degree in education/English/linguistics
-120hr+ TEFL / TESOL; or CELTA certificate
-Under 60 years old (Visa requirement)
-Be friendly, courteous, professional, and engaging as a teacher
