The Universidad de la Sierra Sur (UNSIS) is located in Miahuatln, a small city just 100kms south of Oaxaca City, in Mexico. It is a very affordable and culturally rich place with a number of attractive destinations nearby. English is a requirement for all undergraduate and graduate programs at the university, so our department literally teaches every student on campus.
All teachers at the university are hired on a full-time basis (40 hours per week) with tenure track. The position involves approximately 25 hours of teaching per week in addition to preparation and tutorial time.

Responsibilities include:
> Preparing & organizing class material (lessons, quizzes, projects etc.)
> Continual assessment evaluations on student progress in class
> Being supportive and responsive to the needs of the students
> Working cooperatively and collaboratively with a team of teachers
> Administrative obligations (attendance lists, grades, marking exams etc.)
> Initiating, assisting and participating in extracurricular school projects
Applicants MUST meet the following requirements:
> Be a native speaker of English
> Have a passport from a country with English as an official language
> Have a BA or MA
> Have a ESL/EFL/ELT/TESOL certificate
The following requirements are greatly preferred:
> Teaching experience
> Experience teaching and/or understanding of TOEFL
> A working knowledge of Spanish
