Shane English School Yuxi and Shane English School, Qujing are currently looking for two academic managers to run two of the best schools in the province.

Shane English School, Yuxi was established in 2008 and has been growing ever since, now having over 800 students and establishing itself as one of the best schools in the province.

Shane English School, Qujing was established in 2014 and is growing both in size and in terms of its reputation as the best school in Qujing.

Job description

The academic manager should be responsible for;
• The smooth operation of a busy school.
• Teacher management.
o Recruitment of new teachers.
o Teacher training and development.
o Observation & feedback sessions.
o Contract negotiation.
• School management.
o Scheduling, course & material/ resource development.
o Monitoring student numbers, intake, exam scores etc...
• Course development.
o Advising and implementing new courses and developing current courses.

On arrival, both teachers and managers will undergo an initial week long Young Learners Training Course followed by on-going observations and feedback sessions. Managers will further their training with small group manager training lead by an experienced academic manager. This training will also involve shadowing an experienced academic manager to ensure that new managers have ‘hands on’ experience and will be prepared for all situations that may arise.

At SESC we provide our own course materials and books, working to a set syllabus and course guide. This enables us to offer the perfect stress free teaching environment for the teacher to quickly achieve the results and standards that our schools offer to the students. In return for this quality of teaching we take great care of our teachers.

All teachers will be found accommodation on arrival to suit their personal requirements and any initial start-up costs will be covered by the school. Further to the professional support offered by our staff, each school has its own Welfare Officer to cater for any personal/health care a teacher may need during their stay.

Salary – 12,000- 15,000 RMB per month
Quarterly bonuses of up to 3000 RMB
Apartment rent covered by the school (average rent 2000-2500)
6000RMB End of Contract Bonus.

Requirements:
• Must be a native English speaker from an English speaking country.
• Must hold a bachelor’s degree
• Must hold an English teaching certificate such as CELTA, DELTA, TESL, TEFL.
• Must hold a valid passport.
• Experience teaching young learners preferred.
• Plenty of passion & enthusiasm.
