The University

The university is a comprehensive university under the Ministry of Education of China and It is the only university specialized in Foreign Trade in Northeast China.

The university is located in Dalian, the capital of Liaoning Province. Dalian is one of the top ten most beautiful cities in China and enjoys the honor of the one of most suitable places for living by UN standard. Being a coastal city, Dalian is recognized as a fashionable and vibrant city with breathtaking beaches and clean seaside, green mountains, amiable weather and some historical sites. The city is attracting more and more tourists all year around from all over the world. The annual fashion festival is hold here and it attracts many high-end fashion labels as well as visitors. Dalian is becoming a truly internationalized or multicultural capital with a big population of Japanese, Korean and Russian. The variety of cuisine are easily found here and many more on offer.

Our university campus sits in Lushun(旅顺), one of five districts in Dalian. Lushun is well known for scenic spots, peaceful environment, and historical sites. Lushun campus is 45-minutes school bus ride away from the center of Dalian. The university runs 6 bus journey each day for teachers commuting between center of Dalian to Lushun campus with free of charge.

Our university offers each of international teachers a free one-bed apartment on campus in order to save their travel time. The campus is about 10 minutes and 25 minutes of walk away from two most popular scenic spots. One is the World Peace Park, funded by UNESCO; the other is Ferryboat Harbour, an ambitious project to roll on and roll off the train on board crossing the Bohai Sea. The campus is facilitated with supermarket and grocery stores. Also, the campus has facilities for variety of sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, Ping Pong, badminton, etc. The campus itself is a pretty scenic spot, as there are hills, a lake, pavilions and other traditional Chinese establishments. The apartments on Lushun campus are well-furnished hotel-like rooms.

Up to now, there are nearly 10 thousand boarding students studying 25 majors in 10 departments in our university. They are from all over China but Liaoning students take up the highest percentage. The students are at the age range from 17 to 22. They all speak English as they have been learning English for more than 6 years. Some even learned English for 8 years.

Apart from teaching the classrooms, all the international teachers are expected to work in the university’s Foreign Affairs Office where multiculturalism and professionalism are well regarded.

The international teachers are well cared by the School of International Exchange. Should they experience any difficulties, must report to their supervisors immediately.

Teacher Duties: 
·20 teaching periods (45 minutes per teaching period ) within 5 days a week 
·teach speaking, reading, writing or other courses in English in line with curriculum 
·create teaching content 
·test non-native English teachers when necessary 
·write test papers for the courses you teach 
·help students on preparations for exams 
·compile with university’s rule and regulations 
·respect Chinese culture and all other cultures 
·participate in teacher training program 
·participate in university’s extra curriculum and activities

We are looking for candidates that: 
·Native English Speaker 
·2 years or above teaching experience 
·Bachelor degree or above 
·Clear criminal record 
·Willing to relocate to Dalian by 1st Sept 2018

We offer: 
·Basic salary 10,800-14,460RMB/month with 20 periods per week, depending qualification and experience 
·Free housing: 1-bed apartment (bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom, tv, internet plus all necessary appliances) with all bills covered except international calls, free bus fare, free meals 
·Over time teaching option, 150RMB for 1 extra period 
·Referral & recommendation commission 
·Flight ticket allowance at the end of one year contract 
·Holidays: first week of May, Christmas, first week of October, summer holiday as well as Chinese new years or any other Chinese public holidays.
