Overview

We are looking for an English teacher to come work with us at the International Center in Calama starting in July.  Calama, known for its copper mining activities is a city located in the heart of the Atacama Desert.

The Institute itself is a small Institute with a very welcoming environment.  We teach a range of students differing in age and profession.  However, the majority of our students work in the mining industry in various professions.  We offer a wide variety of classes.  Most of our classes are personal classes (one on one) whilst the others are group classes, ranging from basic to advanced group classes.  We also offer IELTS/TOEFL preparation classes as well as TOEIC preparation classes.

You will receive a base salary of 600,000 Chilean pesos with accommodation in a flat provided free of cost.  However, the costs of the utilities will be split among the two other teachers.  You will share the flat with two other foreign teachers.  We will also provide you with assistance in obtaining your work visa.

You will be required to work for 8 hours from Mondays to Fridays and on Saturdays for 3 hours from 10.00 to 13.00 o clock.

Applicants that are interested in applying for this position must have a good proficiency in English.  Non-Native English speakers are more than welcome to apply.  The applicant must have a basic or intermediate level of Spanish.
