An excellent opportunity for early-career international educators to work on the Ningbo, China campus of a world-class British university, getting exposure to and experience in many facets of international higher education
International Teaching & Advising Programme - University of Nottingham
International advisors operate under the Centre for English Language Education (CELE) and have duties on campus for up to 35 hours a week. Within these duties advisors have the opportunity to work in many roles, including working directly with students, as faculty support, and to work independently.
International advisors work with lecturers and tutors as teaching assistants; advise and assist students with one-on-one and group language support; are involved in coaching and extracurricular activities; develop digital learning environments; attend and support cultural events; work in the local community through the university outreach programme, and a host of other roles.

Requirements for applicants
No Chinese language prerequisite, as the operating language of UNNC is English.
Recently graduated with bachelor’s degree (within past 4 years) with minimum requirement of two years working experience in language education/advising/teaching. Recent graduates with a master’s degree and similar related working experience preferred.
Circa 3.4 GPA (US), 2.1 (UK), or equivalent from home country
Though a background in education, linguistics, or English is beneficial, it’s not required. However, the candidate must be a native/native-like English speaker, and very confident in their English writing & communications skills, as language advising is integral to the role. As a postgraduate degree is preferred, this is an excellent position for a fresh MA graduate who is looking for experience in multiple facets of higher education.
