Overview

The British Council, Korea is currently looking for enthusiastic and qualified English language teachers for ESP who will be able to work selected dates from July to November at a training venue south of Seoul

* Korean working visas are NOT sponsored (F visa holders preferred) 
* University degrees must be from a country where English is the nation's first language. 
[Skills & Knowledge & Experience] 
ESSENTIAL 
- Cambridge CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent (this must include face-to-face teaching practice) 
- High proficiency in English i.e. full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2) IELTS Band 8/9 in each of 4 sections of the academic module
- Undergraduate / university degree 
2 years full-time experience with a variety of levels including adult classes, business English or ESP.

[Main Duties] 
Prepare, familiarise yourself with planned content and deliver high quality English language teaching that meets the needs of participants taking into account individual learning styles  
To deliver ESP teaching to the highest standards and organisational expectations 
To enhance the British Council’s reputation as a world authority in teaching 
Ensure safeguarding and guidelines are applied and upheld in line with standards and policy for the following areas: 
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion 
- Health and safety 
Role overview: 
We are looking for qualified teachers of English able to teach English for Specific Purposes (business) to help us fulfil a short term contract, training adult participants, at a venue located 2 hours south of Seoul. The training will take place on varying days and times according to a set schedule from July to November 2018. Three teachers are required for each time slot. Transportation and accommodation will be covered by the British Council. 
The successful candidates will work closely with other teachers associated with the contract as well as the Senior Training Consultant. The content of the material will be prepared for you, but you will be expected to deliver high quality business English teaching to the participants, as well as meet our high organisational standards. 
It is not required to teach all of the following dates, but those candidates willing to commit to more than one slot will be given priority consideration. Three teachers are needed for each time slot. More consideration will also be given to those teachers who live in the general vicinity between Seoul and the venue. Please note that some of the slots will require successful candidates to travel on the evening before the scheduled day (indicated by *).

UK nationals need to apply for a UK DBS check. Nationals of other countries need to provide an enhanced disclosure from that country. In addition, all new teachers must acquire a police check from their current country of residence.

Required Hours: from 3-15 per week depending on selected time slots
Salary information: Competitive rate per hour according to teacher qualification / experience decided during interview
