About the Job
Overview
China’s HIST University hiring English Teachers.
I am Kyle, the foreigner manger here at HIST (not a recruiter) and we are looking for teachers to teach English here in the university. The teachers we are looking for are starting in the new term of September and all contracts are for one year. The university is a great place to work and is very welcoming to new teachers or experienced teachers and I am happy to help all new teachers coming in. This university is a great place to grow and work. If you love teaching this will be the place to work.
HIST University is located in Henan which is in the center of China and the home of Shaolin temple. Henan is a great province that is well developed. The city that the university is located in, is a very well-developed city with many Malls close to the school and also great food in and around the school.
School’s Contract
Salary: 7000RMB per month
Accident and medical insurance provided
16 classes a week (40mins per class)
No office hours
Usually you have 3 days off a week (plenty of time to travel and rest).
1 month of paid holiday (Chinese New Year)
2 months of non-paid (summer months)
Offers work visa
10 000RMB bonus at end of contract.
Pay raise for renewal of contract.
Free housing on Campus (usually a 2-bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room apartment).
Free utilities including: internet, home phone, power, water, and heating.
Requirements:
Must have a BA or higher.
Must have a clean criminal record
Must have a valid passport
Must be able to relocate to China for at least a year
Must want to teach young adults English
Must be professional in class and with students.
Must be able to do an Skype interview and or over the phone.
Non-native speakers must have a PHD OR a BA from a western country.
