Overview

UME KIDS CLUB, which originated in Seattle, USA, is dedicated to providing high-quality early language training to families with children between the ages of 0–12. It is the first company in Nanjing whose goal is to use the newest developments in learning psychology to nurture children's language skills, intellectual development, and social skills.

UME KIDS CLUB currently provides customized language courses in English. As part of UME’s program based on Seattle’s new preschool education system, children are provided with thematic and real life learning opportunities. To enrich parent-child experiences and provide opportunities for enhanced linguistic and cultural knowledge, we also provide cultural exchange activities between Chinese and foreign families, international family-oriented study tours, and other activities.

Job description:

• Location: Nanjing (students’ home);
• Students’ Age: 0-12 years old in groups up to 5 students;
• Working Hours: 15-20 teaching periods/week (Wednesday to Sunday), No Strict Office Hours;
• Contract Period: one year (12 months) or depends on the requirements (rolling start dates);
• Begin and end classes on time, give lessons to the highest standards of English language teaching;
• Substitute for absent colleagues, perhaps at short notice, on or off-site;
• Teaching curriculum and teaching material provided; develop and use suitable supplementary materials as necessary;
• Be pro-active in improving teaching skills through sharing knowledge with colleagues, and using teaching resources found in the centre, Internet and any other available sources
• Participating in social activities with students (demonstration classes, Life Clubs, tutorials, seminars and presentations) to encourage oral English proficiency;
• Meet regularly with the center colleagues to communicate all relevant information; attend and participate in workshops in teacher development offered by the centre

Salary and Benefits:

1. Full-time teachers

• Salary: RMB 10000—18000 after tax per month
• Additional Bonus: RMB 50 after tax award for every new members on demo class
• Accommodation Subsidy: RMB 1500 after tax per month
• Paid Holidays: Annual Leave (7 days) and Chinese National holidays (18 Days Approx.)
• Flight subsidy: RMB 5000 after tax based on the requirement that 80% demo kids buy member classes
• Visa: Working Visa Provided (assistant on visa issue)

• Airport pick-up service

2. Part-time teacher:

• Basic Salary: RMB 200—300 after tax per hour
• Additional Bonus: RMB 50 after tax award for every new members on demo class
• Flight Subsidy: RMB 3000 after tax if teachers have more than 12 classes per week as well as 80% demo kids buy member classes
• Transportation Subsidy: RMB 100 -200 after tax
• Visa: Assistant on Student & Work visa if necessary

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Native English Speakers and Non-native English Speakers with good accent;
2. Bachelor Degree or above;
3. Between 22 and 50 yrs old;
4. TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certificate (120 hours) are preferential (notarized);
5. 2 years teaching experiences is preferred; applicants with home tutoring experience is preferred;
6. Non-criminal background check (notarized);
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, love kids and enjoy teaching.
