EFL Teachers and ADOS needed for schools in Kiev and Odessa

Overview

London School of English is a British owned group of language schools, which has been in Ukraine since 1996. As part of an education, book distribution, teacher training and assessment group, it offers the ideal environment for newly qualified staff. There are also significant opportunities for more experienced teachers to develop, including Delta sponsorship, and positions in management, publishing, teacher training and sales for Diploma and Masters level teachers.

We teach a range of ages and levels, from 6-60+, starter to proficiency. As a newly qualified teacher, you will gain a wide range of experience with constant support from our Diploma qualified management team. Our in-house professional development program provides input sessions on topics such as lesson planning, pronunciation and teaching speaking skills, as well as workshops and regular observations with feedback from your mentor. It is designed to help teachers move towards a Diploma level qualification while developing their teaching skills.
As our schools are both Cambridge and Pearson exam centres, there are opportunities to train to become examiners and earn extra money examining around Ukraine. We offer the Cambridge CELTA every year and run the Cambridge TKT modules year-round, so teachers can move into teacher training.

We are currently looking for teachers for both Kiev and Odessa. Contracts are for 24 teaching hours a week, from Mondays to Fridays, with weekends off, but the chance to earn overtime on Saturdays if you want. Contracts are from the end of August until mid-July, but there is the possibility of summer work as well, including work on our annual summer camp.

We are also looking for an Assistant Director of Studies for our Odessa schools. The successful candidate will have a Delta or Trinity DipTESOL or be working towards one, and have a minimum of four years experience of teaching both adults and young learners, including exam preparation. The ideal candidate will also have teacher training and management experience as a Senior Teacher or mentor.

Newly qualified teachers - salary starts at 21,000 UAH net per calendar month and increases with experience.Diploma qualified teachers - salary starts at 30,000 UAH and can increase significantly with additional responsibilities.

ADOS - salary starts at 40,000 UAH.

The low cost of living in Ukraine means that teachers live very well on these salaries and save money to travel during holidays.
