Join a team of experienced, qualified Academic English Teachers working for a Chinese - Australian University Joint Venture in Shanghai.

The AIEN Institute of Shanghai Ocean University is the teaching centre for a joint venture between the Shanghai Ocean University and the University of Tasmania, Australia. The Institute was established in 2002, and through the University of Tasmania, it offers a four-year degree program with majors in Information Management and Information Systems, and International Marketing. Graduates receive a double degree from each of the universities. Presently, there are over 1450 students enrolled; there are over 4500 alumni around the world.

The English Department at AIEN Institute is responsible for delivering an Academic English Program, which integrates an advanced level in General English, English for Academic Purposes, and Business English. The Institute also incorporates tertiary level study skills. The Department also provides English training programs and continuous English support for AIEN students.

AIEN Institute welcomes qualified and experienced English teachers to work with us.

Minimum qualifications and experience required are: 
• Bachelor’s degree; 
• TESOL certificate or postgraduate diploma/ degree – minimum qualification CELTA/Trinity Certificate or internationally recognised equivalent; 
• At least 2 years experience of secondary or tertiary teaching in a TESOL or Academic English Program, and; 
• English speaking applicants from countries recognized by the Foreign Expert Bureau are highly preferred.
