The Job 
Our kindergarten is a located in what is called the "Golden State Garden", a specially designed garden providing a safe and fun environment for kids. Since its establishment in 1996, our kindergarten has adopted the educational philosophy of "cultivating chidren's hearts and minds through education". This is set out in their curriculum, which emphasizes boosting student's self-confidence, positive thinking, and creating an open mindset whilst providing an international environment for students to learn and grow. We currently have 15 classes, 6 of them being international classes. Additionally, the school’s convenient location provides students, parents and teachers with plenty of eating, shopping and entertainment options during their leisure time between and after classes. 


Living in Zhongshan 


Zhongshan is a prefecture-level city in the south of the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong province, China, with a population of over 3 million. It is conveniently located about 1 hour from Hong Kong by ferry, 2 hours from Shenzhen’s city center and 45 minutes from Macau. Zhongshan has a vibrant downtown river area and some beautiful Buddhist temples. It is an affordable place to live and housing costs being about 1/3rd that of bigger cities nearby. 

Zhongshan is highly regarded for its peaceful residential life and the tidiness of the environment and the modernization of all facilities. Zhongshan is also famous for its delicious food and desserts from all levels of restaurants such as having Dim-sums for lunch, and seafood for dinner, and cookies as well as pastries for dessert and with fresh local grown vegetables as a staple. Besides Chinese food, international food is also widely available.

Zhongshan is a Western culture influenced city hosting a large expat community while keeping its original Chinese culture in many ways. 

Main Responsibilities
-Teaching hours: Maximum of 18 hours per week; each class lasts about 30 minutes
-Two class types (teachers participate in both): 
International class: 10-15 kids per class, culture & arts and crafts focused

English class: 25-30 students per class, English focused lessons 
-Class size: around 30 kids per class (with Chinese teaching assistant provided) 
-Student ages: 3 to 6 years old 
-Monday to Friday work schedule with lunch break: 7:50 to 16:30, 11:30 to 14:00 lunch break 


Salary & Benefits
-11,000-16,000 RMB monthly salary, based on qualifications 
-2,000 RMB monthly housing allowance 
-5000 RMB once-a-year flight allowance, will be reimbursed in a month upon arrival 
-5,000 RMB salary advance option after passing company requirements

Requirements


Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa
Bachelor’s degree or above
120 hour TEFL certificate required (No TEFL? We can reimburse you if going through our partnered course)
Teaching experience preferred 
Cooperative and positive attitude
Respects the teaching profession and understands children’s educational needs
