Overview

Extreme Learning Centers is looking for FIVE new NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKING TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certified teachers for MAY 1st, 2018. We are looking for native speakers of English from the USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, SOUTH AFRICA and ENGLAND. Due to rapid growth, we are looking to add to our teaching staff immediately. ELC has been in Arequipa, Peru for over 12 years and has approximately 1000 daily students. Class sizes are 4 to 14, with an average class size of 10. We offer 18 days of adult classes per month (Monday to Friday) and 4 Saturdays per month for kids. Teachers usually have 3 adults groups per monthly cycle, each 2 hours per day. Also, most teachers have a kids class on Saturdays (2.5 hours per week). We ask for a 6 month commitment, but will consider 3 months in special cases.

Peru is a developing country, so our students can't pay a lot for classes. Therefore we are not able to pay for airfare or housing. We do offer airport pickup, academic orientation and assistance with finding a place to live. ELC is a family and we try our best to work as a team. Our teachers earn $4.00 to $5.50 per hour USD. This is three to four times the minimum wage in Peru, so while you won't get rich financially, you will be able to live on your wages and gain a wealth of cultural experiences.
