Echo English currently have a position available in a school outside of the capital of Amnat Charoen, in the North East of Thailand. The school is located in a smaller town outside of the capital, and you’ll be teaching secondary students at a school with two other native English speakers.

The teacher will be teaching students ranging in age from 12 - 17 years old. There will be two other teachers you’ll be working with, and the Thai teachers are very friendly and welcoming. You’ll be welcomed into the community, make friends for life and will be invited to different events including weddings, family events and different festivals throughout the term.

Teaching:

You’ll be working at the school from 7.45am, Monday to Friday and teaching less than 24 teaching hours per week. The average is about 20 hours per week, leaving time to plan your lessons, mark assessments and relax. The school doesn’t have a curriculum in place, which leaves flexibility for planning your lessons, ensuring they are engaging and interactive.  

Accommodation:

There are apartments near the school, in the same apartment block as the other teachers at the school. The rent is 4,000 THB / month and they are near restaurants and a market.

Contract length:

The position begins May 14th 2018 and continues until the end of the term (end of September / early October 2018), with the option to renew.
