Overview
The American School Foundation of Chiapas, A.C. is looking for passionate and professional full-time 21st Century Librarian and teaching positions. We are interested in people who have a genuine interest education, who value their work as a profession, not a pastime, and who have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher (preferably in Education) and/or a State Teaching Certificate, ideally with at least two years teaching experience. International teaching experience or IB experience is preferred!

21st Century Librarian: **Position available for March or July 2018
Proven teaching ability, experience in digital media literacies, Bilingual in English and Spanish, strong interpersonal skills, pedagogical leader, creative hub for the school, and a lover of reading!
Responsible for:
• Making the Library “The heart of the school”!
• Promote literacy school wide and making the Library an exciting place to be!
• Being a pedagogical leader in the school and communicating with the school leadership (PLT)
• Committed building the school’s literacy program K-12.
• Supporting others in collaborative planning by providing inquiry resources from the library.
• Ensuring literacy standards for implementation are understood, and that the programme is planned, taught and assessed collaboratively.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the program.
• Responsible for organizing, up keeping and promoting all library resources.
• Teaching students and teachers courses and/or workshops that improve their literacy proficiencies.
• Multicultural skills that promote international mindedness as an inquiry support in both English and Spanish.
• A creative and fun educator that is approachable!

Contract details:
We offer a two year contract; starting March and/or July 2018 (it can be extended after two years)
-8 hour work day
-Private and National Health insurance
-Housing at American School Residencies
-5 (five) weeks or more paid vacation each year
-Salary: Commensurate to experience and best paid standards for the Region.
-Round-trip airfare reimbursement**
-Airport pickup
-VISA processing fees and costs
-Statutory holidays (Mexican holiday calendar)
-International Baccalaureate Courses and/or other PD opportunities
-We are part of the Mexican National Association of IB Schools IBAMEX.
**If outside Mexican territory and from country of origin.
Lower School Full-Time Teacher:
We are keen to hire teachers who are creative, enthusiastic, responsible, flexible, well-organized, principled, reflective, caring, and technologically proficient team players. IB experience and bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Contract details:
We offer a two year contract; starting JULY 2018 (it can be extended after two years)
-8 hour workday
-Private and National Health insurance
-Housing at American School Residencies
-5 (five) weeks or more paid vacation each year
-Salary: $11,000.00 pesos**
-Round-trip airfare reimbursement**
-Airport pickup
-VISA processing fees and costs
-Statutory holidays (Mexican holiday calendar)
-International Baccalaureate Courses
