5-7 WEEKS VACATION: Gangwon-do Public Schools starting February 25th.
 GENERAL INFORMATION 
In partnership with Gangwon's Provincial Office of Education, JE Consulting is pleased to promote a limited number of public school jobs starting February 26th, 2009 in Gangwon-do, South Korea’s North-Eastern province and outdoor playground – a stunning coast line of beaches for swimming and surfing, extensive lakes for water sports, the Seorak mountains perfect for walking, hiking to climbing, and home to Korea's best ski resorts. As a tourist destination for Koreans and Japanese, Gangwon's cities and towns provide all required amenities to make your stay in Korea comfortable.
 JOB DESCRIPTION and WORKING ENVIRONMENT 
Providing stability, transparency and opportunity in a professional environment operated by the provincial government, these government-sponsored positions at provincially-run public schools require teaching only 22 classes per week (1 class is 40 minutes for elementary; 45minutes for middle and 50 minutes for high school), giving you the time available to make your adventure exciting and positive. Additionally, each ESL teacher in the province has Korean co-teachers to help with administrative processes and classroom management. 
 
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS 
Salaries for these positions are dependent on applicants' resumes, from a min of 2.0-2.8 million Korean Won based on experience and educational qualifications
i) In addition, successful applicants will receive: 
 • 300,000 won one-time settlement allowance 
• Entrance payment of 1,300,000 KRW for travel costs to Korea and a 1,300,000 KRW exit payment for travel costs once the one year contract is completed. 
• Rent-free single apartment 
• 5-7 weeks paid vacation and all national holidays
• Medical contributions 
• Pension contributions 
• Severance payment (equivalent to one-month's paid upon completion of 1 year) 
• 11 paid sick days leave allowance 
• 7 days special leave allowance 
• 2 weeks additional paid vacation if you resign your contract after the first year
