Book Talk Language Learning Centre was founded in 2009, located in the heart of Hong Kong, 5 mins away from the subway station.

We offer an easy to learn training program making it easier for you to start teaching our courses. You’ll find teaching using our unique storytelling method to teach the little 2 – 10 year-olds is both fun and easy breezy. And don’t worry, with small class sizes and a room-full of kids motivated to participate, they’ll learn quickly too.

Salary/Benefits:

Very competitive salary based on qualifications and experience ($18,000 - $22,000 HKD/ month + bonuses)

5 days of work per week

10 paid annual leave, Hong Kong Statutory Holidays

Small class sizes (3-7 children) + private tuition

Role and Responsibilities:

As our creative English storytelling Instructor, you will:

teach and motivate children to use their English through story and given lesson plans

prepare class materials as needed to help children succeed in their English quests

communicate children’s progress to parents both verbally and in writing

have passion for English, story, and learning

be sensitive to cultural differences

have strong written and verbal communication skills

be familiar using Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Drive, and other basic computer literacy skills

have a clean background check

Requirements:

A love of teaching kids is essential.

A university degree is an asset

Must be a native-proficiency speaker

TEFL certificate holders preferred

Candidates without teaching experience are welcome to apply

Ability to commit to a contract of at least one year

Experience with working with children preferred

Experience working with Microsoft Office, google drive, email, etc. and other basic computer skills required
