EDUCARER:

Your job description has been individually tailored to meet the needs of the child you will be educating and caring for. As you are well aware, as a child grows so does its needs and your job will adapt to the child's needs as this happens. You will find a list of tasks that you are required to complete as part of your job description, but as you will know an educators job is not limited to to a set list of items, but to provide the best care and education for the child in your care. An Educarer from Elite Educarer is a person who lives in the home of the child, to provide care and to educate the child to the highest standard of your ability. All of our Educarers are qualified in education with experience working with children.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provide weekly planning for learning according to child’s interests, and developmental needs. Providing the planning for the following week in advance of teaching 
Provide weekly reports 
Provide 2 learning stories weekly 
Print and maintain a portfolio where all of your paperwork will be filed 
All documentation to be shared with management at an agreed time 
Order, store, maintain educational resources (helper will clean, but you need to organize a cleaning schedule or system and make sure they are being cleaned properly) 
Create appropriate educational resources where needed 
Accompany the child on outings, doctors appointments, events, family holidays 
Provide care for child including but not limited to:

making sure the child is clean (nappy, clothing and body) 
dressed appropriately (for occasion and weather) 
feeding (record feeding times and amounts, suggest nutritional ideas) 
monitor the child’s health (be aware of physical needs and when to seek medical help from a professional) 
toileting (change of nappies, record toileting, toilet training and making sure that the necessary items for toileting are available and ordering more when needed) 
sleeping (record sleeping times, being aware of changes in patterns and what they might mean)

Work a minimum of 5 days per week, 8-12 hours a day

You will have a minimum of one whole day off per week which will be arranged between you and the family

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:

Native English Speaker (American or British accents preferred). 
Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred). 
Proven communication skills both orally and in writing. 
Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

Experience:

Proven experience in the field of preschool or early childhood education. 
Experience with infants and toddlers required. 
Minimum 4+ years in early childhood education experience. 
Leadership experience preferred.
