Overview

The Modern Language School is looking for mature, good-humored, creative and motivated teachers to fill one position starting August 1 and two positions starting September 3. Our students range from elementary school age to high school, with class sizes as small as individual, one-on-one arrangements to groups of 15 students. Our curriculum encourages teachers to use their individuality and creativity by providing an extensive supply of teaching materials, including games, handouts, reference books and other activities. Our staff has over 20 years of teaching experience, and a teacher trainer is on duty everyday to share ideas. Monthly workshops provide the teachers with the opportunity to develop professionally by exchanging views on teaching methods and techniques. Teachers will also be expected to participate in curriculum development, such as creating and editing homework assignments and tests.Being an American-managed language center, we feel we better understand the challenges foreign teachers face in Taiwan. We offer a starting salary of NT$60,000 with a pay raise at the end of six months. We will pick you up at the airport. We provide assistance in locating housing and purchasing a scooter (translating, loans, driver抯 test prep). Our benefit package includes health insurance, sponsorship for a resident visa and work permit, NT$20,000 end-of-contract bonus, two weeks paid vacation and paid holidays. We also sponsor trips to various parts of the island.
