Overview

Travel the world! Now accepting applicants without ESL teaching experience or applicants without experience as a kindergarten English teacher.

Experience new cuisine, people, adventure and the big city or tropical weather! If you have your bachelor's degree and want to experience the world, teaching in China will be an experience of a lifetime.

-Min. 1 year contracts (all contracts finish at the end of the August school year, with the possibility to renew). 
-Positions starting as soon as possible (generally the visa process takes a couple months)

We are currently hiring for our five locations :

-Hainan (a beautiful Island know as the Hawaii of China) 
-Jinan (about 1.5 hours from Beijing by train) 
-Fuzhou (South semi-tropical coastal city on the mainland across from Taiwan) 
-Hangzhou (A city known for it's beautiful scenery and nature) 
-Changsha (Also known as a city with a long cultural history)

Since 1993, M.E.F. has stood for Making English Fun. We started in Japan and now run using our program mainly inside China kindergartens, and in some small language schools.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

-Up to 30 teaching hours/week 
-5 days per week 
-2 weeks paid vacation every year during Chinese Spring Festival, 1 week paid vacation in October, all Chinese official holidays, and 2 weeks unpaid summer vacation.

The position is for teaching inside different kindergartens or ESL schools. We also have some teachers that work with elementary students. M.E.F. offers more training than competing companies and give full support for new teachers.

We are looking for high-energy, positive, popular, genuinely happy teachers who like to smile. ESL Teachers that can genuinely enjoy what they do and that the children will be excited to see.

The position is high energy and the atmosphere is warm, with ESL teachers usually having a celebrity like status inside kindergartens (and China).

This is definitely an experience that you will never forget. Traveling and working in another country will be different, but we will make sure you are taken care of well when you come to China.

Requirements:

-Must be an English speaker with a passport one of the following countries: Canada, Australia, USA, UK, New Zealand 
-Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) 
-You must have graduated at least 2 years ago (Diploma is dated two years+), Or in the case you have an education, or child care related degree, it is okay to be a new graduate. 
-No visible tattoos (If you have tattoos you must be able to cover them) 
-Be suitable to a kindergarten environment 
-Clear Police check 
-22 to 34 years of age (due to visa restrictions)

Payment and Incentives:

-13,000 to 16,000 RMB/month 
Payment Breakdown: 11,500 RMB Base Salary 
+1,000 RMB per month accommodation allowance 
+500 RMB per month after successfully passing the M.E.F. teaching testing Level2 (Can test as early as right after training is finished) 
+1500 RMB per month after successfully passing the M.E.F. teaching testing Level3 (Teacher must be qualified/expected to train). Usually this is testing at least 6 months after Level2 is complete) 
+500 RMB/month for schedules ending after 5pm but before 5:30pm OR 
+1,000 RMB for schedules ending after 5:30pm. (All schedules will have a maximum 30 hours per week regardless). 
+6,000 RMB Flight allowance after 6 months of work

-Processing Chinese Z Visa work permit 
-Airport pick up, arrival support, free prepaid phone number/SIM card 
-3,000 RMB cash advance on arrival 
-Up to one-week free accommodation on arrival (until apartment is confirmed) 
-Paid Transportation to and from places of work (When required to be at more than one location) 
-Healthcare Coverage: 80% of insurance companies coverage fees paid for

To give you an idea, the average meal out costs between 10 to 50 RMB. An hour massage costs around 100 RMB. Transportation and travel around the country is also quite cheap. Teachers are able to live well on this salary.
