Job Opportunity 
Lighthouse International School (grades 1-12) is currently seeking native English-speaking teachers who can teach : 
Secondary School – Math, Science, English, or ESL 
Elementary School - English, Math, Science and Social Studies

If you would like to educate young people in a Christian environment, then we want to hear from you. You will not only teach but also render Christian service to the students in our school. Our school considers all of its teachers and staff to be missionaries, ministering to the students and to their colleagues.

1. About our school 
Our school is a private Christian school, located near Ilsan area. The cardinal goal of education at LIS is to train up students to show the glory of God. We seek to carry out all educational activities with a spirit of thankfulness to God and loving service to each other. English language is to be used for classroom instruction extensively but not exclusively.

2. Qualifications 
Required 
- Be a Christian who has been born again through faith in Jesus Christ 
- Hold at least a Bachelor's degree 
- Secondary School : Hold a teacher's certificate or bachelor’s degree in secondary education or have experience teaching in public or private secondary school in a relevant subject 
- Elementary School : Hold a teacher's certificate or bachelor’s degree in elementary education or have experience teaching in public or private elementary school

Preference 
- Native English speakers who can speak Korean

Duties 
- Five work days weekly (Monday-Friday, from 8:30-17:30) 
- Teach a maximum of 24 class hours weekly 
- Provide classroom instruction and other services associated with instruction 
- Advise students and correct their behavior as needed 
- Sponsor or supervise extra activities and programs 
- Help develop curriculum as required

3. Remuneration & Benefits 
- Monthly salary negotiable 2.0~2.5 million Korean Won 
- Airfare reimbursement (roundtrip) only if the teacher is residing in a foreign country during the recruitment process 
- Health insurance (50/50 split) 
- National pension (refundable according to nationalities; US, Canada, etc.)(50/50 split) 
*You can collect the full amount, both school’s contribution and employee’s share 
- 20 days paid vacation + national holidays + additional paid vacation according to seniority 
- Additional 2 days paid personal leave 
- Additional 4 days paid sick days 
- Housing will be provided (if required) 
- Severance pay after fulfilling 1 year contract

4. Contract Period 
1 Year. The contract may be extended or renewed upon evaluation. 
Starting Date : January 2018
