About the Job

Overview

Exciting opportunities to teach English across Japan. Do you have a passion for teaching and travelling, then this opportunity is for you!

BrightSpark Teachers are working closely with a partner organisation who have opportunities for English Teachers across Japan for 2020 and 2021. The opportunities that have a September 2020 start date require candidates to be currently located in Japan. They are located in the Northern part of the main island and also require candidates to be able to drive.

English Teachers will be responsible for engaging and helping students achieve their English-language goals while sharing their enthusiasm for learning in a fun environment. Instructors can expect to gain in-depth knowledge about the education industry in Japan and see first-hand the value their background and abilities can bring to interactions with co-workers, students and parents.

Japan is truly timeless, a place where ancient traditions are fused with modern life as if it were the most natural thing in the world. On the surface Japan appears exceedingly modern, but travelling around it offers numerous opportunities to connect with the country’s traditional culture.

Wherever you are in Japan, it seems, you’re never far from a great meal. And as you’ll quickly discover, Japanese cuisine has great regional variations. The hearty hotpots of the mountains are, for example, dramatically different from the delicate sushi for which the coast is famous. It’s also intensely seasonal, meaning you can visit at a different time of year and experience totally new tastes.

SPECIAL NOTE – We thank all who apply and advise that only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.

Our partner organisation works closely with international preschools and language programs across Japan. The main regions they have opportunities in are Kanto and Osaka.

Candidates are required to hold a Bachelors degree or equivalent in any subject. A TEFL certificate is desired but not essential.
