About the Job

Overview

Washington English Center is seeking hardworking and enthusiastic English teachers for their Schools Partnership Program. WEC has a successful partnership program with many public schools in Hanoi, Vietnam's vibrant and bustling capital, and runs evening and weekend classes at their language center. Numerous positions are available for the partnership program across primary, middle and high schools, as well as in-house lessons, starting in September. WEC is also beginning a IELTS program, more details to follow.

• 9 or 12 month contract
• 15-25 teaching hours per week
• Minimum 60 hours per month
• Flexible schedule
• Monthly meetings to share experience
• Teach in two or three schools
• Students aged between 5 and 15

Salary and benefits

+ Up to US$25 per hour after tax
+ Health insurance
+ Invitation letter for Visa on arrival
+ Work permit organised and paid for
+ Help obtaining work visa (applicant pays – about US$135)
+ Help setting up bank account
+ Help finding accommodation
+ Help organising transport
+ Up to 20 days holiday (unpaid)

Requirements

• Native level English speaker
• TEFL / CELTA / TESL qualification
• University Degree
• Passion for English
• Desire to work with children
• Police check from home country

Previous experience is welcomed but not necessary as training can be provided.
