Aishitian Education is now hiring math, science, business, computing and ESL instructors for Spring 2020!
Aishitian Education is devoted to providing a quality curriculum for Chinese students using English as the language of instruction. Founded in 2007, Aishitian Education is now one of the most successful internationally-oriented learning centers in Qingdao, China.
We are currently delivering the Global Assessment Certificate (or GAC, a curriculum managed by ACT, Inc.) and GAC Foundation program to students preparing to study abroad in American or Canadian universities. For the GAC program, we emphasize study skills, critical thinking, experiential learning, and college-style assessments. When our students complete the program, we hope that they will not only have the skills to succeed at the university level, but excel. For the GAC Foundation program, we build students’ English skills so they can enter the more challenging and academically-oriented GAC program after they complete the Foundation courses. GAC will be delivered at our home office, in downtown Qingdao; at one of our partner schools in a northern suburb of Qingdao, to students aged 15-17; and at other partner schools as required.
We are also delivering the Unicore International Children’s Academy (UICA) curriculum to students aged 4-15. This program aims to develop students’ English and academic skills through different subjects such as Math and Science, in addition to basic English studies.
Our home office is located in downtown Qingdao, only two blocks away from the ocean. The start date for this position is Spring 2020.
1. Job Title: General Science, Business, Computing, Math (including calculus), and ESL Instructors (with experience teaching writing). *Preference will be given to candidates willing and able to teach more than one content module.
2. Job Location: Qingdao; Laoshan District; Chengyang District
3. Compensation Package: Remuneration packages start at 18,000 RMB, which includes a competitive salary based on experience, monthly bonus, housing stipend, and health care. Assistance is provided with visa and relocation.
4. Requirements:
*Native English Speaker from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, or the US (Please do not apply if you do not meet this condition!)
*Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s is Preferred)
*Ability to teach at least one of the following courses: high school calculus, general science, business, computing and ESL (including academic writing)
6. Job Description:
*20 teaching hours per week
*4 office hours per week (completed in the office or the classroom)
*Grading, lesson planning, and other teaching-related paperwork
*Staff meetings, professional development activities
