Overview
Do you want an immersive Japanese cultural experience while building your skills? Are you an outgoing individual with a passion for teaching? Do you work best in a team? Are you dedicated to providing a fun experience for your students? Then we may have the perfect job for you! Heart Corporation is seeking Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) for posting at public schools for April 2020 - March 2021. Positions will be available in the Tokyo area, Yokohama, Saitama, Chiba and the northern Kanto region.
Main Responsibilities
- Fun and exciting English lessons for public school students aged nine to fifteen
- Team teaching and collaborative lesson planning with Japanese teachers
- Making educational materials for elementary and/or junior high school students
- Motivating students to learn English
- Participating in school life
29 hours of lessons per week, maximum
Salary and Benefifts
- Salary: 9000-12,000 yen/day (location-dependent)
- Visa sponsorship and renewal available
- Paid holiday after six months
- Orientation and ongoing training
- Online lesson plans and other support available
- Bilingual office staff
Requirements
- Must hold or be eligible for an appropriate visa
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (no exceptions)
- Native or native-like proficiency in English
