*Location #1

Jeong-eup city which is located in the southern west area, it is closed the beautiful Byeonsan-Bando National Park (http://www.knps.or.kr/pyonsan/main.asp) which is the only peninsula Park in Korea.

**Teaching for the high school students (You will be hired by a Provincial Government Office of Education and will be teaching at public schools at the province).


**Starting date: March/April

**Salary: 1.9-2.3 M depends on your qualification.

**Housing: single

**Working hours : 9am-5Pm, (but your teaching hours are 22 hours per week during the school hours)
Monday to Friday.


**Vacation: 14 working days per year. Upon completing of your contract if you renew your contract then you will be getting 14 days additional vacation with round trip to your home country.



**Full government medical benefit, Round trip air Fair will be provided.

**There are three levels of employment for Korean public schools (hired by Provincial Government Office of Education), and all applicants must have the following basic requirements:

Hold at least a Bachelor's degree.

Be a citizen of one of the six major English speaking countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States of America. (Applicants from Korean backgrounds - either a citizen or a legal resident of one of the six major English speaking countries - must have studied from the junior high school level and resided for at least 10 years in one of the six major English speaking countries.)

Be mentally and physically healthy.

Have a good command of the English language.

Have the ability and willingness to adapt to Korean culture and living.

If you are a male citizen of the Republic of Korea under the age of 35, you must have either completed mandatory military service or have received an official waiver.


First Level ELI

In addition to the basic requirements, a 1st Level ELI must have one of the following:
?A Teacher's Certificate, for Elementary or Secondary school, with at least two years of full time teaching experience at accredited institutions or a Teacher's Certificate with 100 weeks experience with Korean public school system.
?A TESOL/TEFL Certificate comprised of a minimum of 100 course hours with at least two years of full time teaching experience at accredited institutions or a TESOL/TEFL Certificate comprised of a minimum of 100 course hours with 100 weeks experience with Korean public school system.
?A Master's degree with at least two years full time teaching experience at accredited institutions or a Master's degree with 100 weeks experience with Korean public school system.

Second Level ELI

In addition to the basic requirements, a 2nd Level ELI must have one of the following:
?A Teacher's certificate for Elementary or Secondary School.
?A TESOL/TEFL Certificate comprised of a minimum of 100 course hours.
?A Master's degree.
?A Bachelor's degree with at least one year of full time English teaching experience at accredited institutions or a Bachelor's degree with 50 weeks experience with Korean public school system.

Third Level ELI

A 3rd Level ELI must have basic qualifications listed at the beginning of this section.



Summary of benefits

*** REMUNERATION
Salaries will be paid in Korean currency corresponding to the appropriate levels of employment;

First Level ELI: 2,300,000 won per month. Plus 100,000 Provincial allowances. If you working for a county, county allowance10,000 in addition to the provincial allowance.

Second Level ELI: 2,000,000 won per month. Plus 100,000 Provincial allowances. If you working for a county, county allowance10,000 in addition to the provincial allowance.

Third Level ELI:1,800,000 won per month. Plus 100,000 Provincial allowances. If you working for a county, county allowance10,000 in addition to the provincial allowance.



***Settlement Allowance: A settlement allowance of 300,000 Korean won will be provided for the first month of the first year.



*** ACCOMMODATION

A leased house/apartment as well as some basic household goods will be provided by the host POE. Utilities are not included and are the responsibility of the employee. Employees should recognize that arrangements may vary among each host institution.


If housing is unavailable to the employee, a rent subsidy will be provided in lieu of accommodations



*** TRANSPORTATION

All transportation will be provided for each participant from the place of residence to Korea, to the orientation site, and to each Provincial Office of Education, and also a return ticket back to his or her homeland when the contract has been satisfied. A round trip ticket to their homeland will be provided for renewing members.


**** TAX EXEMPTION

All participants, except Canadians, will be exempted from paying Korean income tax for the first two years.
In order to be tax exempted, you are required to submit documents below to your supervisor within the first month of your employment.
- an Application Form(provided by your supervisor)
- a copy of Residence Certificate(issued by the competent authority - Revenue Office of your resident country)

If you have already worked more than two years in Korea, you will not be eligible to be exempted.

This can be a great benefit since, for example in the USA, a person declared single with no dependents might be responsible for a third of one's income as tax.

Canadian participants will be responsible for approximately 2-4% of their income as Korean income tax depending on the level of employment, since there is no tax treaty between Canada and Korea.


*** VACATION & PAID LEAVES

A total of 14 working days will be provided as official vacation days, to be taken 7 days during each semester with agreement from your employer.

An additional paid two-week vacation will be provided between contracts for renewing members.

Employees will be off during all Korean national holidays.

***OTHER ATTRACTIONS
?Half of medical insurance, which is approximately 2.155% of an employee's salary(the total medical insurance premium is about 4.31%), will be paid for by the employer. Medical insurance will allow you to get medical attention and prescribed medication at a fraction of a cost.
*** National Pension:The pension fund is a payment implemented by the government to protect the employee in case of a tragedy or retirement, which are the only cases the money is refunded to the employee. This fund is comprised of 4.5% borne by the employing POE, and another 4.5% payment borne by the employee, deducted from monthly pay. When you leave Korea, you can get this fund back by filling and application form. (2) National Pension Reimbursement:American or Canadian employee is eligible for a pension distribution refund if he/she submits the required documents to the Korean Pension Corporation when he/she leaves Korea after the completion of the contract.
?
?Round trip airfare for visiting their home country (not exceeding two weeks) will be provided for employees who renew their contract.
?Teachers complete the 1 year contract will be entitled to receive severance pay one month equivalent.
?All first level ELIs renewing after two years of service with the same employer as first level ELI will be entitled to special allowance of 200,000 Korean won per month.

* Location : Mokpo city, South Korea.

* Type of Students: high school students. The school open in 1941. Well known (famous) reputable school in the city.
* Working days a week: Mon - Friday
* Working hours per week: 26 hours per week (actual teaching hours are 24 hours)
Teaching hours: 9 am ?4 pm ( one hour lunch time included)
You should be arrived at the school until 8 o抍lock and the class will be started 9 am.
* Payment : 2.4 million won
* Starting date : Mid of March
* Air fare : Provided
* Completion Bonus : One month salary.
* Medical Insurance provided : 50%
* Housing (single or shared ? ): single apartment
* Distance from House to Institute : 5-10 mins on foot
* Vacation: 5 days in summer and one week in winter.

Location: Kyung Nam province (five positions available)

*Salary : 2.0-2.3 M.won
*Housing : single housing
*Working hour: 11 am- 6 pm
*Teaching schedule : 1:30 pm ?6 pm
Teach 5 classes per day ?(40 minutes for 1st and 2nd period)
                         (50 minutes for 3rd , 4th ,5th period)
1st period : 1:30 ~ 2:10
2nd period: 2:20 ~ 3:00
3rd period : 3:10 ~ 4:00
4th period : 4:10 ~ 5:00
5th period : 5:10 ~ 6:00
* Type of students: elementary school students ( age: 8-12)
* Air fare : Provided
* Completion Bonus : one month salary.
