Overview

We are currently seeking teachers for the coming school year starting September 2019 and ending in June 2020.  We are a small family-run English school in a town of about 20,000 inhabitants situated in Galicia, Spain.  Our classes are organized into groups of 7/8 students, all of the same age/level.  We work with students from th ages of 4-18.

We are looking for teachers that are well-organized, motivated, imaginative and able to engage the students.  Classes with the youngest children are based on the use of flash cards and coming up with games and activities that engage them and motivate them to learn. They have classes 2 hours a week.  We use books with children from 8 and up.  Teenagers receive conversation classes that are based on Cambridge University Press books one hour a week.  In total our teachers have an average of 22-24 hours of class per week.

Classes are from 4 - 9 pm Monday to Friday.  We meet up with the teachers before class to go over lesson plans and make suggestions and corrections.  Our work atmosphere in informal, but teachers are expected to dress appropriately.  Included are healthcare, two weeks paid holiday at Christmas and 9/10 days at Easter as well as all local and national holidays.
