Overview

Aston English is one of the leading English Schools in China. We have over 150 schools nationally and employ hundreds of foreign English teachers across the country. Aston is a western ran organization ensuring that no problem little or large is ever lost in translation. We provide our own challenging and exciting curriculum program which is simple to teach and easy to understand.

At Aston we specialize in oral English and we operate slightly differently to your average school. Our target for each and every lesson is FUN. We find that if students are enjoying class they are more likely to be motivated, more likely to participate and most importantly more likely to learn. Your lessons will often involve games, activities and challenges on the interactive whiteboard however this is completely up to you. WE provide the curriculum, YOU provide the creativity to get your message across.

However, we won’t just stick you in the classroom and expect you to teach. All of our teachers are given a full three day training course by a senior teaching staff after their arrival. The course provides an enjoyable start to life at Aston as it ensures that you will be fully prepared and comfortable the first time you step into an Aston classroom.

Teachers at Aston have 3 days off and only work 23 hours a week. This will give you plenty of time to relax, hang out with friends or go travelling. Our workplace operates like a family, don’t be surprised to find yourself invited to Hotpot (a popular Chinese dining experience) or to visit a neighboring city by one of your new Aston colleagues. During vacation time often our teachers enjoy much needed trips. In Yinchuan, our foreign teachers spent the October holidays in the beautiful city of Xi’an whilst in Dalian our foreign teachers spent their vacation time in Beijing. Many of our schools often organize events to mark major western holidays, we have enjoyed Halloween, New Year and Christmas events together plus arranged trips to the cinema, bowling or out for dinner.

Aston provides a competitive salary and all our teachers receive a rent free apartment located near to the school. This enables our teachers to save,save and save whilst working for us as the only outgoings you’ll have will be food, socializing and exploring.
