Overview
Saint John Mary International School is seeking:
1. a qualified Early Childhood Education teacher to join our preschool. We are looking for a native speaker with at least 2 years of teaching experience and a sound understanding of the developmental needs of children between the ages of 2 years and 6 years old.
This position is fully self-contained using an integrated curriculum based on a relevant theme, as well as after school activities relevant to the age group or specific needs of the students. The successful applicant will be a loving and caring individual who creates a safe and secure environment for her students.
Minimum Requirements:
--Bachelor's degree and certification in Early Childhood Education
--Native English Speaker (or near-native speaker with TOEIC score of 800 or higher, neutral accent, and demonstrable command of the conventions of spoken and written English)
2. a qualified native English speaking reading specialist for the lead elementary English Language Development position. This candidate will be responsible for diagnostic testing, lesson and assessment planning, and liaising with the homeroom ELA teachers in weekly PLC meetings to communicate student progress and align weekly objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
--Native English Speaker (or near-native speaker with TOEIC score of 800 or higher, neutral accent, and demonstrable command of the conventions of spoken and written English)
--Bachelor's degree and certification in Elementary Education OR two years' experience working in a language support or reading program position
--Specialization in English, Reading, or a related subject
3. an innovative and qualified middle school ELA teacher to join the faculty at our secondary school. We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge and a sound understanding of the California State Standards as they relate to a secondary school English Language Arts curriculum.
The position will involve teaching students directly, as well as assisting in the encouragement of extra-curricular activities. The successful applicant will be a motivated individual with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to set goals, reflect on their progress, and adapt their study skills and practices in order to excel in reading comprehension and writing.
Minimum Requirements:
--Native English Speaker (or near-native speaker with TOEIC score of 800 or higher, neutral accent, and demonstrable command of the conventions of spoken and written English)
--Bachelor's degree and certification in Secondary Education OR two years' experience teaching ELA in secondary
--Specialization in English Literature or related subject
Saint John Mary International School (SJMIS) is a small international school in Saraburi Province, 100 kilometers north of Bangkok. We are a private, co-educational institution offering an American curriculum to both day and boarding students on a spacious and well-equipped campus.
