Position Summary: 

The Lecturer (part-time) assists with the teaching management in test assessment and curriculum design related to standardized tests. Major responsibilities include instructing lessons on the individual basis, developing, and tailoring lessons to customized needs. We have high expectations regarding teaching quality and ability to work cooperatively and independently

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Giving instruction for exams, including TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, SAT2, ACT, AP, GMAT, GRE, SSAT, US school grade 1-8 English, Phonics, etc.
  • Provide immediate feedback to teaching management about student’s performance.
  • Create a learning-friendly environment for students.
  • Assist with the academic director to keep the curricula updated.

Requirements

  • Able to design own curriculum plan based diffident student’s situation.
  • Minimum one-year experience of teaching in related fields of ESL(English as Second Language)/ELL (English Language Learner) Certificate preferred.
  • Bachelor degree Master degree preferred, educational background preferred. Majors include but not limited to Curriculum and Design, Higher Education, Secondary Education, etc.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English. Passionate about teaching. Experienced with student-centered pedagogy. 

About Student

Chinese student in China, most of them are planning to apply US colleges from Top 100 to Top 30.

Salary

  • College admissions is a tough game, your teacher quality mostly based on helping student to achieve ideal scores in English Standardized Test. Usually $30-$35/h ($20-$25/h basis salary, and additional $10 /h for achieving ideal scores), mostly 1.5-2 hours per class, basis salary paying every two weeks after teaching.
