Overview

APAX English - Vietnam’s fastest growing and most innovative English training center - is recruiting qualified, native English teachers to work at our newest center opening in Pleiku, Vietnam this October.

Located in in the central highlands province of Gia Lai, Pleiku is a city of more than 200,000 residents that is known for its picturesque views, temperate climate and fresh air. If you are an outdoors person, Pleiku is a great place due to the abundance of trekking areas and the nearby Yok Don National Park. The city is also home to Pleiku Airport, which offers regular flights to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and other Vietnamese cities.

Teachers who work in Pleiku will receive substantial bonuses ranging from $580 
- $2,400 for remaining in Pleiku between four and 12 months, in addition to the regular contract completion bonus of $460. After completing a minimum of four months in Pleiku, teachers are eligible to transfer to any other APAX location if they choose to.

REQUIREMENTS: 
• be a native English speaker from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand or South Africa 
• have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) 
• have an ESL teaching certificate (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, etc.)

JOB DESCRIPTION: 
• preparing and delivering fully organized lessons that are provided (no lesson planning is required) 
• classroom management 
• marking and providing appropriate feedback to quizzes, writing assignments, etc. 
• attending and contributing to training sessions 
• basic administration: taking attendance, inputting grades, giving monthly feedback on student progress, etc.

SALARY / BENEFITS: 
• base salary range of 35,000,000 VND - 38,600,000 VND for up to 21 teaching contact hours per week 
• overtime hourly rate of 525,000 VND 
• monthly accommodation allowance of 6,450,000 VND 
• bonuses for working in Pleiku between 4 - 12 months (13,500,000 VND - 56,250,000 VND) 
• 12-month contract completion bonus of 10,750,000 
• ~20 vacation days
