Overview
Mandalay Innwa Private School is looking for an EFL teacher.
The school:
Mandalay Innwa Private School is a Chinese/Burmese private school in Mandalay. Our students are mainly students with the Chinese ethnicity who live in Mandalay. All lessons except the English lessons are taught in Chinese and Burmese. The main focus of the English lessons is on improving listening and speaking skills. Student enrollments have grown so therefore we are looking for a new foreign teacher for our English department.
Teaching hours and duration of contract:
Each lesson lasts 30 or 45 minutes. You will teach a maximum of 25 lessons a week, 5 lessons a day, from Monday to Friday, between 8.00 AM and 5.00 PM with a two-hour lunch break. There will be around 20-30 students per class. This position is for kindergarten and lower primary/elementary levels.
Duration of contract: 1 September 2018 – 31 July 2019 (the start date of the contract is negotiable, but preferably as soon as possible after 1 September).
Requirements:
- A native or near-native speaker from Europe, the US, Canada or Australia with a clear accent
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- TESOL, TEFL or CELTA preferred
- Clean background check
- Maximum age is 60
Payment and benefits:
- minimum 1500 USD per month
- Free accommodation will be provided on campus (a private bedroom with shared bathroom and kitchen; drinking water and good wifi is included, our school also has a small gym and basketball court, and there is a swimming pool next door!)
- Business Visa will be provided
- Round trip flight ticket
- Days off on national holidays and other school holidays (the biggest holidays are in February and July/August)
