Overview

Field Education was founded in 2011 to determine how best to educate Chinese children and has developed a widespread reputation in this industry throughout the years. We are dedicated to providing children with an excellent Western style education. The Field Education home office is located in Beijing and there are more than 200 franchise schools across China totaling more than 40,000 students. In 2013 Field Education received recognition as the leading English teaching company for Chinese children.

We are currently hiring for 8 full time teaching positions at Luoyang, China. The Center is located in the section of the city with good shopping and excellent and large central park.

Teachers can expect the following: 
• First and foremost to provide students with a safe and comfortable learning environment. 
• To have weekly training in the Field Education methodologies and practices of teaching. 
• To contribute to curriculum development projects and development of lesson plans. 
• Carry out alternative teaching responsibilities including but not limited to giving demonstration lessons, activity classes, and giving presentations. 
• Substitute for absent colleagues. 
• Work evenings and weekends with two days off during the week. 
• 40 hour week with 25 hours spent teaching and 15 hours spent preparation and other activities. 
• Measure progress and educational results

Candidates shall: 
• Have a good, clear, pronunciation of English. 
• Preferably aged 22 to 40. If you can play with kids well and go crazy with them, then no age limited.(One class is no more than 12 children.) 
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in any subject. 
• Two years work experience required, preferably teaching but will consider related experience. 
• Have a positive outlook, be energetic and have a passion for working with children. 
• Hold an EFL teaching certificate such as TEFL/TESOL/CELTA 
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office software suite. 
• Provide a recent Police background check and health exam.

Benefits: 
• Basic Salary ranging from 13,000 to 20,000 RMB depending on qualifications and experience. 
• 8,000 RMB annual flight allowance. 
• 10,000 RMB salary advance available on arrival if required. 
• Health Insurance and paid annual leave days and National Holidays off. 
• Airport pick-up upon arrival and two weeks free accommodation. 
• Accommodation allowance. 
• Free Mandarin Chinese lessons if interested. 
• 1 year contract with one month rehire bonus for each following year payable 50% in middle of the year and 50% at the end of the year. 
• Performance based bonus.

ABOUT LUOYANG, CHINA

Luoyang is a tourist city located in the confluence area of the Luo River and the Yellow River in the west of Henan province. Governed as a prefecture-level city, it borders the provincial capital of Zhengzhou to the east. As of the final 2010 census, Luoyang had a population of 6,549,941 inhabitants with 1,857,003 people living in the built-up (or metro) area.

Situated on the central plain of China, Luoyang is one of the cradles of Chinese civilization, and is one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. Luoyang, ancient China’s capital during multiple dynasties, is home to Baima Si (White Horse Temple), among China’s first Buddhist temples, founded in the 1st century. Nearby are the Longmen Grottoes or Longmen Caves with some of the finest examples of Chinese Buddhist art. Housing tens of thousands of statues of Buddha and his disciples, they are located 12 kilometers south of present-day Luoyang.

Located at Zhengzhou you will find the Shaolin Monastery, also known as the Shaolin Temple, dating back 1,500 years when founded by Bodhidharman. Shaolin Temple is the main temple of the Shaolin school of Buddhism to this day. Only two hours travel by high speed train to Xian.

During your days off and on holidays you will have the opportunity to travel by high speed train or by air to many of the fascinating cultural sites and cities of China!
