About the Job

Overview

Main Responsibilities (English Teacher): 
1.Deliver high quality Phonics, literature and writing classes to students. 
2.Plan and teach outstanding and engaging lessons that meet course syllabus goals and objectives while applying Athena teaching approaches. 
3.Keep up to date on Academic administration, including issuing and explaining homework assignments, tracking student progress and writing student progress reports. 
4.Assist in marketing activities and promotions.

Main Responsibilities (Head Teacher): 
1.Pro-active oversight and effective implementation of Athena curricula, screener and placement processes, as well as Athena standards for student monitoring, assessment, feedback and reporting. 
2.Pro-active oversight of teacher work product i.e. lesson plans and course files, and share teaching resources with colleagues at other Athena centers. 
3.Organise teacher training workshops that responds to both individual teacher, centre and company needs. 
4.Implement Athena standards for teacher appraisal, including scheduled lesson evaluations, check-in sessions and setting of individual objectives. 
5.Organise and co-lead focused and action-oriented weekly meetings with center staff and teachers. 
6.Complete all academic reporting as assigned by Academic Management. 
7.Conduct interviews of new teachers for center, reporting feedback to HR. 
8.Support the Centre Manager with marketing events.

Minimum Requirements (English Teacher/Head Teacher): 
1.Native English speakers only (the US,Britain,Canada,Australia...) 
2.Bachelor's degree or above 
3.Teaching qualifications preferred(Tesol/TEFL/CELTA) 
4.2+ years teaching experience in reading/writing (preferably with young learners)

Main Responsibilities (Curriculum Developer) 
1.Conduct academic research related to k12 ESL learners, including project planning and implementing 
2.Develop curriculum content and course materials 
3.Initiate assessment on curriculum content and course material to ensure ongoing improvement of the material 
4.Provide professional support and advice in teacher training and quality control, monitor feedback of students and markets 
5.Work closely with other departments to get a thorough understanding of the existing curriculum and the learning cycles of target audiences 
6.Develop online courses

Minimum Requirements (Curriculum Developer) 
1.Bachelor’s degree or above in Education 
2.At least 5 years’ experience of teaching and curriculum development targeting k12 ESL learners 
3.Flexible, open-minded and think outside the box
