About the Job

Overview

Description: 
-20 hours per week. 
-Spend time with children for a few hours (play time, recess, snack time, etc.) 
-Teach a short class (15-45 minutes) with a pre-made American curriculum 
-Co-teacher who speaks fluent English plus two other teachers to assist when needed 
-VERY low pressure, almost no preparation time needed

Compensation: 
-VERY competitive salary - 20,000 RMB for a half day. (Most training centers and schools offer about 10K per day for 40 hours a week.) 
-Also includes housing allowance (or we will help you find a place before you arrive) 
-All visa paperwork and expenses taken care of by the school 
-Flight reimbursement 
-End of year contract completion bonus 
-All public holidays off 
-Paid time off for half the summer! 
-Accident insurance covered by the school

Requirements: 
-Four year degree in anything with two years of formal teaching experience 
-----OR----- 
-Four year degree in Education, English, or another related major 
-Home language must be English (hailing from the US, the UK, Australia, New Zealand or Canada).

The City: 
Yancheng is developing very quickly which means you will have a low cost of living with many of the same luxuries that you'd have in a major city like Shanghai, Beijing, etc. On top of that, it's an ideal location for traveling Asia - we're only a few hours from Shanghai by train or bus and a few hours flight from Japan and South Korea. This means you can spend your weekends exploring Asia while still being financially comfortable. (Keep in mind, domestic travel in China is MUCH cheaper than in the West). Also, the foreign community is close-knit and excited to meet newcomers. Many Westerners have lived here for many years and love to help people out!
