English language & PYP Dramatic arts/music teacher needed for Australian International School in Wuhan – Foreign Managed (August 2018)

Wuhan Australian International School (WAIS) is a candidate school for the prestigious International Baccalaureate PYP programme (see www.ibo.org) in Hubei province. We are looking for an English language teacher with a musical or dramatics background or simply some skills within that area. If you play music, sing or are interested in teaching dramatic arts to elementary school students this may be for you.

If you already have teaching experience, are willing to learn and want the opportunity to take your professional career further in the future by subject teaching at some of the best schools in Asia and the rest of the world, this could be the stepping stone you need.

We have one final position open for September 2018:

1) ESL/Dramatic arts and storytelling (60% ESL, 40% dramatic arts or music) 
Salary range:

13000 - 16000 RMB/mth after tax: 1-4 years elementary experience 
(14500 – 17800 before tax)

17000 - 20000 RMB/mth after tax: 5+ years elementary, or 2 years PYP experience 
(19300 – 22500 before tax)

(Salaries are strictly dependent upon experience teaching elementary age children)

Other parts of our offer:

- 22 classes per week (average 45 minutes) 
- 35 working hours in total 
- 8000 Renminbi at the end of the year to help defray travel expenses. 
- All FULLY LEGAL visas, foreign experts certificate, residence permit etc. 
- Fully furnished private accommodation (not shared) 
- 10.5 month contract

* Must be from a country able to issue a work permit as a teacher in China 
* Must be fluent in English to a native or near native level 
* University degree in any subject and either two years provable experience in teaching or a recognised 120+ hrs TESOL certificate.

* Must be able to provide a current notarized and legalized criminal background check or able to transfer from another position in China.
